Work-At-Height

Duration: Half-day (4 hours)
Style: Competency-Based, requiring 100% pass mark for practical and 60% pass mark for theory.
Target Audience: Any and all personnel, whose work activities include working at height.

Overview
The aim of course is to provide participants with the requisite working at height knowledge to undertake work at height activities properly and safety.

     - Identify relevant Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Legislations and Codes of Practice applicable to Work at Height
     - Demonstrate the understanding of use and care for the various fall arrest systems and equipment

     - Overview of WAH course
     - Regulation and Code of practice
     - Hazard identification WAH, Fall Control Measures
     - 5 techniques of WAH
     - Necessary equipment of WAH techniques
     Practical Session
          + Donning of individual Fall Protection equipment and application of self-relief technique in emergency
          + Fundamental of working at heights and Fall prevention
          + Importance of Inspection & Record keeping of WAH equipment

Certificate: Certification of Successful Completion

Student Assumed Knowledge
Student should be physically fit and able to participate in moderately strenuous practical activities.

Student Requirement
Student must wear comfortable lace-up shoes or safety shoes. Slip-on shoes of any kind will not be permitted for practical activities. Students should also wear long trousers or jeans, and a comfortable t-shirt or polo shirt.
